What does the stink of the skunk look like? Why would it be dangerous?

I recently wrote a bit on skunk repellent chemistry and its toxicity here:

The stink of a skunk is invisible, like the stink of a fart, but the spray is not. Go to about 2:08 in this video.

I couldn’t find any good photos of the anal glands of a skunk that secrete the repellent.

Is the water safe to drink in England like here in America or is it necessary to bring tablets to prevent any cholera when in London?
